Electrical Engineer


Level 1 Assembly Technician

Integrate computer and LCD components into sub-assemblies and systems using a variety of tools and equipment.

Responsibilities:

  • Read, interpret, and follow basic diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, assembly instructions, and other written instructions or procedures to accurately assemble equipment and products.
  • Utilize tools such as a hand-held screw and drill gun.
  • Communicate inventory shortages. Perform quality work checks to ensure the product meets the Company’s quality standards.
  • Identify product defects and complete appropriate documentation when defects are identified.
  • Rework and/or repair assembled equipment and products according to engineering specification changes.
  • Perform all work in accordance with the Company’s quality standards and established safety procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area. Understanding of 5S concepts. Other duties may be assigned as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • One to two years of computer assembly experience preferred.
  • Basic reading skills.
  • Must be able to follow simple to complex directions.
  • Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly.
  • Continuous improvement: Ability to use thinking and reasoning to solve a problem and to think in such a way as to produce a new concept or idea. High attention to detail and self-motivation skills. Specific technical or vocational training or certification may be required; may be required to pass ruler test.
  • High School Diploma or GED

Electrical Engineer

Research, design, develop, and test computers, computer electronics or computer related equipment for commercial, industrial, military, or scientific use based on customer specifications. Prepare detailed engineering diagrams, circuit board schematics and board layouts, and computer-related equipment, showing dimensions, electrical connections, and other engineering information. Problem solving in a production environment including board level troubleshooting.

Responsibilities:

  • Design analog and digital electrical systems of medium complexity.
  • Function as contributor electrical engineer on a multi-disciplinary project team.
  • Create electrical systems, schematics, and printed circuit boards utilizing sound engineering and design for manufacturing principles, including developing and maintaining a component library.
  • Specify and source off-the-shelf electrical components, including passive components, transistors, ICs, power supplies, tools, etc.
  • Operate computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks.
  • Understand how to use an engineering change process.
  • Communicate clearly and concisely with peers from different backgrounds as well as customers and suppliers.
  • Applies knowledge of current state of the art technologies, tools and practices to product development and sustaining engineering projects.
  • Perform detailed or routine engineering and research and development assignments involving calculations and tests. Other duties may be assigned, as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • BSEE or comparable work experience.
  • Have 3-7 years of experience in electrical design and analysis.
  • Proficient in EDA software (Altium, PADS, ORCAD).
  • Basic lab experience & skills (soldering, assembly, etc.)
  • Computer skills, including the ability to use MS Office applications.
  • Suitable spoken and written communication skills.
  • The ability to present technical information effectively in one-on-one and small group situations.
  • Impeccable attention to detail and time-management skills.
  • Be a team player with personality traits that enable successful interactions with all levels of staff, vendors, and customers.
  • Experience working in a regulated environment (ISO 9000, AS9100, NQA-1, 10CFR50 Appendix B or similar).
  • 4-year University Degree with emphasis in electrical engineering or six years related work experience and/or training; or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
